Farewell... and thank you so much for caring and sharing to make dreams come true. You made a difference to many, you touched hearts and you changed lifes.

At this point it is probably adequate to specially mention some other supporting (or actually leading) actors:
- Lady Cora. All Dream Team Members had so much goodwill and friendship to offer. Lady Cora Van Laar relentlessly worked and lobbyied to direct their attention towards the Philippines.

ROTARY CLUB OF MACTAN - CITE SCHOLARSHIP

The Rotary Club of Mactan (District 3860) and Rotary Club of Collingwood South Georgian Bay, District 7010 Canada through The Rotary Foundation (TRF) Matching Grant # 64366 allocated Ph One Million One Hundred Sixty Four Thousand Pesos (Ph 1,164,000.00) for scholarship grant to 188 scholars to be enrolled at CITE (Center for Industrial Technology and Enterprise). There are 185 slots for Production Technology (short term course) and 3 slots for a 3-year Industrial Technician Program. Scholars are required to maintain a certain average and are encouraged to sponsor a scholar when they already have regular employment in the future, this is to help sustain the program and extend more scholarship and employment opportunities to the youth.
The program will adopt the R.A. No.7686 known as Dual Training System Act of 1994 wherein student recipients of the grant shall conduct their 1-year on-the-job training at any partners company at the Mactan Economic Zone for the Industrial Skills Training Program (ISTP) and 1-1/2 years for the Industrial Technician Program. Since they have established relationship and trust with the companies while on training, they therefore have better employment opportunities upon completion of the program.
RC Mactan President Maita Manglapus, with District 3860 Literacy Program Chair/PP Sylvia Comendador and Club’s Chairman for Literacy Rtn/Dr. Caridad Labe represented RC Mactan, while Mr. Armad Millan III and Mr. Boni Mercado Jr. represented CITE during the MOA signing held last January 16, 2008 at the Rotary Club of Mactan Information and Training Center, MEZ, Lapulapu City.

ROTARY CLUB OF MACTAN PROJECT FOR INDIGENT CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS AT PRIME CENTER

Rotary Club of Mactan and Rotary Club of Collingwood - South Georgian Bay, district 7710, Ontario, Canada thru TRF Matching Grant is sponsoring children with special needs from indigent families under a fund grant in the amount of P200,000.00 as one of its charity projects. Under this grant, Rotary provides financial assistance to help shoulder rehabilitation expenses and transportation fare of the children with special needs at P.R.I.M.E. Center Foundation, Inc. P.R.I.M.E. Center is a non-stock, non-profit organization located at the Evangeline Sy Building, R. Colina Street , Estancia-Ibabao, Mandaue City and is currently serving ninety children with special needs. The children beneficiaries are currently availing of special education, therapy and other services such as parent training and consultation at the center.

Still in December came President Maita's announcement that upon club treasurer's confirmation, the fund for Matching Grant #64366 was credited to RC MACTAN account.
